Gift Voucher Policy

Buddy & Joy is a small Australian business, run by one mum who loves helping other mums (and dog mums). This Gift Voucher comes out of our own pocket. It's a big thank you to our community, and our way of sharing and celebrating our growing family with you at what's already an expensive time of year. These terms keep it simple and fair for everyone.

1. What it is

The Buddy & Joy Gift Voucher is a promotional discount code worth $50 off a future order at buddynjoy.co. It's given free with qualifying orders. It is not a gift card, it can't be bought, and it can't be exchanged for cash.

This offer is run by Buddy & Joy, ABN 32 629 128 178.

2. Who gets one

From 12:00 am on 15 October 2026 to 11:59 pm on 31 December 2026 (Sydney time), every order at buddynjoy.co that includes at least one Buddy & Joy Car Dog Hammock earns one Gift Voucher. It's one Gift Voucher per order, however many hammocks the order includes. Orders paid for with a Gift Voucher also earn one, as long as they include a hammock. Orders placed outside these dates don't qualify.

When your cart includes a hammock, the $50 Buddy & Joy Gift Voucher is added automatically as a free ($0) item, so you can see it's included. Your unique code is then emailed to you after your order (see Sections 3 and 4). Your Gift Voucher is linked to your hammock order, so it's still issued if the $0 item is removed from your cart.

Your Gift Voucher is sent by email. To receive it, tick the box at checkout to receive Buddy & Joy marketing emails. If you're not subscribed, we can't send it.

Forgot to tick the box at checkout? Subscribe within 7 days of your order, then email hello@buddynjoy.co with your order number and we'll send your Gift Voucher. Please subscribe with the same email address you used for your order.

You can unsubscribe any time after you receive it, and your Gift Voucher stays valid.

4. When it arrives

Your Gift Voucher is emailed to the address on your order within 24 hours of your order being paid, and usually much sooner. This includes pre-orders: your Gift Voucher is sent once your pre-order is paid, not when it's dispatched. Australian orders only.

It's not issued for orders that are unpaid, cancelled or flagged as fraudulent. If an order is cancelled after your Gift Voucher is sent (including a cancelled pre-order), the Gift Voucher is cancelled too. If you cancel a pre-order after your Gift Voucher has been used, $50 is deducted from your refund.

Can't find your email? Check your spam or promotions folder, then email us at hello@buddynjoy.co and we'll resend your code while it's still valid. If a technical issue ever delays your Gift Voucher, we'll send it as soon as we can.

5. How to use it

Enter your code at checkout for $50 off an order with a product total of $100 or more, before the Gift Voucher is applied and excluding shipping. Codes need to be entered at checkout and can't be applied after an order is placed.

Each code can be used once, on one order. Gift Vouchers can't be stacked, and can't be combined with any other discount code, sale price promotion or offer.

Standard shipping is free on orders over $100, worked out after your Gift Voucher is applied. If your Gift Voucher brings your order under $100, standard shipping fees apply. See our Shipping Policy for details.

6. Expiry

Your Gift Voucher is valid for 3 months from the date the order it came with was placed and paid. For pre-orders, this is the date you paid for your pre-order, not the date it's dispatched. It expires at 11:59 pm (Sydney time) on the expiry date shown in your Gift Voucher email. Expired codes can't be extended or reissued.

You're welcome to keep it or give it to someone else for free. Anyone with the code can use it, once. Once it's shared, we can't reissue it if someone else uses it first.

Gift Vouchers can't be sold, swapped or offered for money or anything of value, including on marketplaces, buy-and-sell groups or social media. Gift Vouchers that are sold or offered for sale will be cancelled (see Section 10).

Your Gift Voucher stays linked to your hammock order. If you later return your hammock and the code has been used by anyone, $50 is deducted from your refund (see Section 9).

8. No cash value

The Gift Voucher has no cash value. It can't be exchanged for cash or store credit, and its value isn't refunded.

9. Returns

Returning the hammock that earned your Gift Voucher

If you return your hammock under our 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee and your Gift Voucher hasn't been used, the Gift Voucher is cancelled and your hammock is refunded in full.
If your Gift Voucher has already been used, by you or by anyone you gave or shared it with, $50 is deducted from your hammock refund. This applies even if you didn't use the code yourself.
If your hammock is faulty, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in full. If we replace it, your Gift Voucher stays valid. If we refund it, no deduction is made for your Gift Voucher.

Returning items from an order where you used a Gift Voucher

Your Gift Voucher needs a minimum spend of $100. If you return part of that order, we check whether the items you keep still add up to $100 or more.

$100 or more: you keep your $50 discount, and we refund the full price of the items you return.
Under $100: the $50 discount no longer applies. You pay full price for the items you keep, and we refund the rest of what you paid.

A Gift Voucher that has been used can't be refunded or reissued.

Example 1 (prices are examples only). You buy a $199 hammock and a $30 lead ($229), use your Gift Voucher and pay $179. You return the lead. The hammock you keep is over $100, so you keep your $50 discount and we refund the full $30.

Example 2 (prices are examples only). You buy two items at $55 each ($110), use your Gift Voucher and pay $60. You return one item. The item you keep is $55, which is under $100, so you pay full price for it ($55) and we refund the rest: $60 minus $55 = $5.

Original shipping charges are refunded in line with our Refund Policy.

10. Fair use

We know most people will do the right thing, and we're grateful for that. If we find a Gift Voucher has been misused, for example sold or offered for sale, or obtained or used through fraud, unauthorised use, a chargeback, or a pricing or system error, we may cancel that Gift Voucher or the order it was used on.

If misuse becomes widespread, we may also end this offer early. If that happens, Gift Vouchers already issued fairly stay valid until their expiry date.

11. Changes to this offer

We may change or end this offer at any time. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated policy is published. Gift Vouchers already issued keep the terms they were issued under, except as set out in Section 10.
